Audi Sport driver Markus Winkelhock has plenty of experience in the Audi R8. In 2012, he won the Nürburgring 24 Hour race in the R8 LMS ultra and also set a lap record for electric production vehicles around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in the R8 e-tron in July. In March 2013, he flew to Australia for the launch of the new Audi R8. Although he had been to Australia twice before, in Melbourne with the Spyker F1 team, it was his first visit to the picturesque, high-speed Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. In this video, Markus talks about his love of the new Audi R8 and his first impressions of Phillip Island.
