Demonstrated on the highways of Las Vegas at the CES, the Audi traffic light information online service connects the car to the city’s central traffic control system that manages the traffic light system.
It not only shows the driver what speed to travel at to pass through the next set of traffic lights while they are green but also displays the time until the lights change when sat at a red light.
Connected to the car’s Start-Stop system, the technology has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 15 per cent.
